Kings XI Punjab’s opener batsman Chris Gayle was seen practicing hard in the net sessions in a video posted by the Kings XI Punjab Official Twitter Handle.
KXIP expressed their excitement when their big hitting Opener batsman adopted an aggressive approach. “Beast mode activated,” is what the franchise captioned the video on Twitter. KXIP has started their training sessions in the UAE after completing their mandatory Quarantine period as per the Government of the UAE & the IPL SOP Guidelines. Only CSK is left behind in starting the practice sessions as its 13 members were tested COVID-19 positive last week.
Chris Gayle seems to be highly motivated & full of energy in the picture shared on the Official Twitter handle of KXIP franchise. Gayle is famous for big hitting process & smashing highest number of sixes in the history of the IPL.
The swashbuckling opener has hit about 326 sixes with RCB batsman AB De Villiers grabbing the second spot for hitting 212 sixes. Gayle further enjoys the distinction of scoring highest score in the IPL innings following his unbeaten 175 off 66 deliveries against the Pune Warriors India back in 2013.
The 40-year-old scored 490 runs in 13 innings for KXIP in the previous edition of the IPL, finishing sixth on the list of the top run-scorers. KXIP will be led by the new captain KL Rahul who has replaced Ravichandran Ashwin. The IPL 2020 will start from 19th September 2020 in UAE.
