Ahmedabad’s Motera Stadium is all set to host seven International matches in a row starting from third test between India & England that starts from February 24.
Current & former Cricketers are in awe of the World’s largest ground which has a seating capacity of 1, 10,000. Former England batsman Kevin Pietersen was one of the cricketers who first took to social media & praised the world class cricket facility in Ahmedabad. Kevin Pietersen posted a couple of pictures of the ground & wrote, “My goodness! How spectacular does this stadium look for the next Test match in Ahmedabad?! 110K capacity. A Theatre Of Dreams!” England’s pacer Stuart Broad was also impressed with Motera stadim as he stepped in the ground on Friday.
India’s Wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant also applauded the World Class Facilities that are available at the Motera Stadium. Apart from hosting the final two tests of the ongoing four match test series between India & England, Ahmedabad will now host a five match T20I series between the two teams. In the test series, India suffered a 227 runs defeat in the series opener test match in Chennai after England’s captain Joe Root scored a brilliant double century to continue his outstanding form with the bat in the sub-continent.
Team India then bounced back in the second test match with a bang as Ravichandran Ashwin stole the show with his all-round performance. Ashwin scalped eight wickets in the match & also scored a century in India’s second innings to set up a big victory & help the hosts to level the series at 1-1.
