David Warner applauds SRH’s Bowlers after an Exciting Win against Delhi Capitals!


Warner hailed SRH bowlers performance in the death overs against Delhi Capitals at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. By winning yesterday’s match SRH has registered their first victory for the IPL 2020 season.

David Warner was extremely happy with the win & praised the bowlers by saying, “We worked really hard on our death bowling, and today they were all fantastic.” Rashid Khan & Bhuvneshwar Kumar put forward an excellent bowling displays. The Afghan spinner scalped three wickets in four overs scoring just 14 runs. The Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar dismissed two players in four overs giving just 25 runs to the opponent.

Warner also revealed how SRH’s team tactics got hampered after star player Mitch Marsh suffered an injury in their first match. He also praised new edition Abhishek Sharma for his outstanding bowling display as they were facing problem without a proper fifth bowler.

“Unfortunately we had Mitch marsh injured, and we were trying to figure out how he we get some overs in. The young Abhishek bowled really well”, he quipped.

After losing the toss SRH set an average 163 run target finishing at 162 runs scored in 20 overs. Praising his team’s batting display Warner said, “We pride ourselves on our running between the wickets. If we are not getting boundaries, we run hard.”

Delhi Capitals showed a poor performance in yesterday’s match by scoring just 147/7 in 20 overs with captain Shreyas feeling that his team was outplayed. After the match he said, “They knew the pitch better than us. They outplayed us, credit to them”. This was Delhi Capitals first season defeat. SRH will face CSK in their next match on October 2. Meanwhile, DC take on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on October 3.
