Another big & successful Partnership between David Warner & Jonny Bairstow saw SRH record a 69 runs win over KXIP in yesterday’s clash. The Australian & the Englishman have often put up some key performances for SunRisers Hyderabad which often took their squad towards stupendous victories.
There is an intense rivalry shared between Ashes rivals England & Australia with immense pressure on players from both the teams to help lead their respective nations towards a glorious triumph. Even the dangerous of bouncers is cheered by the fans of both the sides with the spirit of the game taking a backseat. But surprisingly Warner shut down the talk of rivalry between the two nations & said that he enjoyed batting with Ashes rival Jonny Bairstow in yesterday’s clash of SRH against KXIP.
“I don’t know why people think there’s so much hatred between the two countries! It’s going well, at the moment I’m just giving him strike. Look we really enjoy batting together out there. We tried to take it to them and fortunately enough today we were able to get through the power play,” Warner said in the post-match presentation about batting with Bairstow.
SRH defeated KXIP by 69 runs in the 22nd match of the IPL 2020 held at Dubai International Stadium. The Hyderabad based franchise won the toss & opted to bat, scoring a whopping 201/6 in 20 overs. Opener Batsman David Warner & Jonny Bairstow stitched an excellent partnership of 160 runs in 15 overs to help ensure the perfect platform for SRH. Warner scored 52 runs off 40 balls with Bairstow smashing 97 runs off 55 deliveries.
Whereas KXIP batsmen were not at all in the chase in yesterday’s clash despite of Nicholas Pooran’s brilliant knock. Pooran scored 77 runs off 37 deliveries registering the fastest half century in the ongoing IPL tournament. But the moment West Indies Cricketer got dismissed, the game went completely in favor of SRH & KXIP were bowled out for just 132 runs.
