Australia Opener batsman David Warner on Saturday took to Instagram to share a cute picture of his daughter Indi wearing a signed jersey gifted specially to her by Indian team captain Virat Kohli.
Warner’s second daughter Indi Rae is a very big fan of Indian captain & she was wearing a bright smile while posing for the camera by wearing Kohli’s “playing jersey”. David Warner who played the last two matches of the just ended four match test series said that though his team lost the tets series his daughter Indi-Rae was very happy after receiving the special gift from the Indian captain. In his post, Warner also mentioned that besides him & his limited overs opening partner Aaron Finch Indi is a huge fanof Virat Kohli.
“I know we lost the series but we have one very happy girl here!! Thanks @virat.kohli for your playing jersey, Indi absolutely loves it. Besides daddy and @aaronfinch5 she loves VK #fan #love #cricket,” Warner wrote, while posting the picture on Instagram.
Last year Warner’s wife Candice in a radio show before India Australia series said that her middle child Indi-Rae is a “rebel” as she wants to be Virat Kohli. “We do play a little bit of backyard cricket. The funny thing is my girls, sometimes they wanna be dad, sometimes they wanna be Finchy (Aaron Finch) but my middle child, she wants to be Virat Kohli. And I am not even joking, her favourite player is Virat Kohli. She is the rebel,” Candice had said, speaking to Triple M Sydney radio station.
While Warner missed the first two test matches due to a groin injury, Kohli returned home after the first test for the birth of his first child. In Kohli’s absence, Ajinkya Rahane led team India & helped the team to beat Australia by 2-1 & retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
