Delhi Capitals star Opener Shikhar Dhawan has arrived at the team’s hotel in Mumbai on Thursday. The player will complete his one week quarantine at the hotel, confirmed the franchise in its Official Statement.
DC has already started their training sessions in Mumbai & DC’s fast bowler Umesh Yadav had said that he has enjoyed the practice session with other teammates after staying in quarantine for one week. Umesh Yadav also said that he wants to perform well with the ball & give his best for his team, Delhi Capitals.
DC Head Coach Ricky Ponting said on Wednesday that Rishabh Pant should lead the team after analyzing his recent performances. Ponting tweeted, “Unfortunate that Shreyas will miss the IPL 2021 but looking forward to seeing @RishabhPant17 grab this opportunity. He is surely a well-deserved candidate for captaincy after looking at his recent performances & I am sure that captaincy will make him a better player”. Delhi Capitals will face CSK in their first match of the IPL 2021 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on April 10.
