Rajasthan Royals made a power-pack comeback by registering three wickets win which looked almost impossible at one point. Taking the heartbreak from the previous defeat as motivation, Rajasthan Royals sealed a three wickets win against Delhi Capitals, thanks to the heroics knock by David Miller & Chris Morris.

David Miller & Chris Morris helps RR to seal a gutsy win against Delhi Capitals!

Riding on the back of David Miller’s spectacular 62 runs knock along with Chris Morris quick cameo of 36 runs off 18 balls, Rajasthan Royals defeated Delhi Capitals by three wickets today in the 7th Match of the IPL 2021. Chasing 148 runs Rajasthan didn’t get off to a stable start as the team lost its opening batsmen Manan Vohra for just 9 runs & jos Butker for 2 runs right in the third over. Chris Woakes provided first two breakthroughts to DC by removing RR’s star opening pair. Then in the very next over Kagiso Rabada removed Sanju Samson for 4 runs leaving Rajasthan steering at an early 17/3.

Then came Shivam Dube to partner with David Miller on the other end. But soon in the eighth over Avesh Khan broke their 19 runs partnership by reoving Shivam Dube for just 2 runs. Avesh took on RR’s batsmen by sending Riyan Parag back to the dressing room on just 2 runs. Thereby reducing Rajasthan Royals to 42/5 in the 10th over.

Rahul Tewatia & David Miller duo stitched a stunning 48 runs stand to get RR on winning terms!

To stabilize RR’s innings, Rahul Tewatia came on the crease. He partnered with Miller in the middle overs to steady the submerging ship of Rajasthan Royals. Together the Tewatia-Miller duo produced a 48 runs stand. But as soon as RR got on the winning track, Delhi hit them hard as Rabada dismissed Tewatia on 19 runs. But this couldn’t stop David Miller as he went strong to score his gutsy half-century. Miller also smashes Avesh for two consecutive sixes. But Miller in the attempt of hitting a third six ended up losing his wicket in the crucial 16th over after registering a stupendous knock of 62 runs.

Chris Morris Valiant Stint with the bat helped RR to chase an Average Target of 147 runs!

With 27 runs required in the last two overs, Chris Morris showed his heroics with the bat when his side needed him the most! First Morris smashed Rabada for 15 runs in the second last over & then with 12 runs required off the final over. Chris Morris along with Jaydev Unadkat managed to took RR over the line with three wickets in spare. Chris Morris showed his prowess & smashed two sixes in the final over to help RR seal a thrilling win. Morris with his gutsy stint with the bat has proved why he is the most expensive bid in the IPL 2021.

Initially, RR had won the Toss & Elected to bowl first!

Earlier sent to bat first Delhi Capitals were restricted to 147/8 by RR bowlers. Jaydev Unadkar, Chris morris & Mustafizur Rahman. DC kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. Though Captain Rishabh Pant played a knock of 51 runs, RR with its restricted bowling maintained pressure over the opposition. Delhi capitals lost its first three wickets in quick succession with 36 runs on their scoreboard. Openers Prithvi Shaw & Shikhar Dhawan along with Ajinkya Rahne were sent to the pavilion one after another by Jaydev Unadkat. DC was hoping for a match-winning partnership by Captain Rishabh Pant & Marcus Stoinis. But all their hopes went in vain as Mustafizur Rahman removed Stoinis for 0 in the seventh over. Thereby reducing Delhi Capitals to 37/4.

RR bowlers restrict DC to an average total of 147 runs!

Lalit Yadav & Rishabh Pant were on the crease & together they stitched 51 runs partnership for DC. Rishabh pant also registered his half-century during his stint with the bat. But as soon as Pant started guiding DC in the winning direction. He was sent back to the pavilion at 51 runs after getting run-out. Soon after Pant’s dismissal Chris Morris removed Lalit Yadav for 20 runs reducing Delhi Capitals to 100/6. In the final overs Tom Curran’s 21 runs, Ashwin’s 7 & Chris Woakes 15 added the finishing touch to Delhi Capitals average total of 147 runs.
