ENG vs NZ: Former England captain Michael Vaughan said that he feels for Jack Leach who has been dropped from England’s Playing XI, in the first test match being played at the Lord’s Cricket Ground.

For the ongoing first test match, England has opted to go in for a full seam attack. They have not included any frontline spinner in their Playing XI for the first test match against New Zealand.
For New Zealand, Devon Conway is making a debut in the ongoing test match against England. Conway becomes the 281 test-capped player of New Zealand. And he is going to open the batting for the kiwi’s team along with Tom Latham. Whereas James Bracey & Ollie Robinson are the two players who are making a debut for England in today’s match.
On Tuesday ECB has announced that pacer Stuart Broad will be England’s vice-captain for the ongoing two-match Test series against New Zealand. “Our Vice-Captain for #ENGvNZ @StuartBroad8”, the Official handle of ECB tweeted on Tuesday. This will be the first instance for Stuart Broad as Vice-captain of the test series. He has prior experience of captaincy while leading England’s squad in ODIs & T20Is.
Last week, England’s Head Coach Chris Silverwood has included Sam Billings & Haseeb Hameed for the ongoing test series against New Zealand. The call-ups came when Ben Foakes was ruled out of the upcoming Test Series due to a hamstring injury.
After the conclusion of the ongoing test series, New Zealand will come into a face-off with India in the final of the WTC starting on June 18 at Southampton. Whereas England will face India in a five-match test series beginning on August 4 in England.
