It was not a good day for RCB as they lost yesterday’s Eliminator Match against SRH. RCB’s trophy less stint in the IPL continued this season also leaving the team without any trophy even this IPL season.
England Women’s Cricketer Alexandra Hartley seems to be a RCB fan took to twitter to express her displeasure with the team’s exit from the IPL season. She raised a question which is asked by many RCB fans, “Will we ever win a title?” While many RCB supporters identified with Hartley’s question her England teammate Kate Cross decided to have some fun.
In response to Hartley’s “Will we ever win a title?” post, Cross responded by posting a picture of MS Dhoni in CSK jersey with the words, “Definitely Not” emblazoned on it. In CSK’s final IPL 2020 game commentator Danny Morrison asked Dhoni, “will this be your last game in yellow?” the CSK skipper responded quickly with a two word answer, “Definitely not”.
Dhoni’s emphatic reply went viral on the net & now has been made into a meme. For RCB this is not a small thing as they are yet to win an IPL title & a massive loss at this stage of tournament must be quite frustrating for captain Kohli, team management and the owners. In this year’s IPL, RCB had a brilliant first half however towards the end the results took a reverse turn resulting in four consecutive losses which left them out of the IPL 2020.
RCB have succumbed into the playoffs on NRR which is far cry from the team that looked unbeatable at one stage. The end too was disappointing as the batting lineup failed to deliver when it was most important meaning RCB exited the tournament on the back of five straight defeat.
