Former Pakistan Pacer’s Advice for Babar Azam didn’t go well with Twitteratis!

Babar Azam

Former Pakistan Player Tanvir Ahmed has come up with some weird advice and to-do list for Star Batsman Babar Azam which didn’t go well with Twitteratis.

Babr Azam recently has been appointed as the captain of the ODI & T20I teams by the Pakistan Cricket Board last week. This decision was taken on the basis of Babar’s outstanding performances, he has been Pakistan’s Prolific batsman in current times. His brilliant performance has resulted in his terrific rise in his cricket career which can be seen from his ICC rankings he is enjoying the top position in the ICC men’s T20I rankings. He is also paced in the ODI series where he enjoys 3rd position in ICC rankings & 5th position in test match rankings as well. Former Pakistan Pacer Tanvir Ahmed, however, feels that scoring good runs & leadership skills are not only the things that make a good captain.

Tanvir Ahmed played fiver test matches two ODIs and just a T20I for Pakistan came up with a bizarre list of things which Babar Azam needs to work on to become a complete captain. In a video posted by Saj Sadiq, a Pakistani cricket writer, Tanvir Ahmed said that there are certain things that Babar should work on to become a good captain. According to Babar, he needs to “improve his English, work on his personality & change his dressing sense”, to become a good captain.

Tanvir Ahmed through YouTube says Babar Azam needs to improve his English, work on his personality & change his dressing sense to become a skilled captain. However many probably will feel as long as he’s scoring runs and doing well as skipper, it doesn’t matter how good his English is or what he wears”#Cricket

However, Tanvir’s advice didn’t go well with Twitteratis & they took him to the cleaners. Let’s see a glimpse of the reactions of Azam’s fans on Ahmed’s comment.

One fan replied, “What do you need to be the skipper of the team? Cricketers: Leadership, Runs, class, and form. Tanvir Ahmed: Good English, dressing sense and personality”.  Another user replied, “And this loser is an analyst on ARY. Yeh analysis bhee aisay hee kerta hae wahan. Bhai pehlay apni dressing sense to dekh lo”. One more user replied, “Babar Azam is a cricketer, not a model”. One user replied, “Babar Azam is playing cricket not auditioning for Hollywood”. Another Twitterati replied, “This really explains why Tanvir never made it as a cricketer… he spews cynicism. Meanwhile, Babar Azam has made a global fanbase that transcends nationalities and languages. He doesn’t need to listen to useless armchair criticism of a complex person”.

Babar Azam made his debut in Cricket in October 2016 and has played almost 26 matches for his country in the longest format of cricket. He has five test matches, 13 fifties & averages 45.12. The spectacular right-handed batsman has an outstanding career in the shorter formats of the game. The 25-year-old has played 74 ODIs for Pakistan and scored 3,359 runs at an average of 54,17 with 11 brilliant centuries & 15 half-centuries registering on his name.

He has also made 38 appearances for Pakistan in T20Is in which he scored whopping 1,471 runs at an average of 50.72. India star batsman & skipper Virat Kohli & Babar Azam are the only two batsmen who have boosted an average of above 50 among the players who have played over 30 T20Is.
