Virat Kohli has made his International Debut in the year 2008 & since then he has played numerous match winning outstanding knocks in which he batted in all different circumstances in all the formats of cricket.
A couple of his spectacular knocks that comes in mind instantly is 133 not out in 86 balls against Sri Lanka in Hobart & unbeaten 100 off just 52 balls which is the fastest century maybe by an Indian batsmen till date, he made that century against Australia while chasing 360 runs in Jaipur for team India.
It’s a very difficult task to choose any one innings over the other as every inning & every win is of utmost importance for a player but fans & experts never face any difficulty in picking any player’s best innings & are very much fond of picking up favorite knocks of different players.
Former Indian Opener batsman Gautam Gambhir has now picked 183 runs not out which kohli scored against Pakistan in the 2012 Asia Cup as one of his all-time greatest innings. Gambhir acknowledged the fact that Kohli has played many unbelievable innings across all formats over the years but his knock against Pakistan is very special for him because this was very crucial for India as India had lost an early wickets while chasing 330 runs against a quality Pakistan bowling attack.
“Virat Kohli has played many unbelievable innings across the three formats, but this is one of his greatest innings from all points of view,” Gambhir said on Star Sports show ‘Best of Asia Cup Watch along”.
“First of all we were chasing 330, then India was 0/1, and then scoring 183 out of the 330 runs, that too against Pakistan, and that time, he was not that experienced too. According to me, I think probably this is one of Virat Kohli’s greatest innings, honestly,” added Gambhir, who top scored for India in the final of 2011 World Cup”, Gambhir further added.
