Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh wasn’t happy with the selector’s decision to not choose Mumbai Indians Star player Suryakumar Yadav for upcoming Australia tour & expressed his disappointed through Twitter.
The BCCI announced the Test, ODI & T20I squad for the tour of Australia on Monday. There were few highlights in the selection of the players one major talk about is the non-inclusion of injured Rohit Sharma not in any of the teams while Rishabh Pant is also given a cold shoulder. Another deserving player who is omitted from the Australia tour of India is Suryakumar Yadav who is a currently playing for Mumbai Indians franchise.
Harbhajan Singh requested team India Selectors to look into Suryakumar’s outstanding records & said that there different rules are followed for different people when it comes to team selection.
Exprssing his displeasure Harbhajan Singh tweeted, “Don’t know what else @surya_14kumar needs to do get picked in the team india…he has been performing every ipl and Ranji season….different people different rules I guess @BCCI I request all the selectors to see his records,” tweeted Harbhajan on Tuesday morning.
Suryakumar is in form for his franchise Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2020. He has been an active part of all the 11 matches of MI played for this season where he scored 283 runs at an average of 31.44 and a strike-rate of 148.94. He has hit two half-centuries & has a high score of 79 not out in the IPL 2020. Suryakumar has played some crucial knocks for his team 7 has helped MI to hail victory in most of the IPL matches in the UAE.
Rohit Sharma is currently undergoing a hamstring injury & himself has left all the three India squads for the Australia tour with BCCI’s national selection committee saying that its medical team will itself monitor India’s Vice-Captain’s progress.
