Mumbai Indians put forward a fine batting against KKR in IPL 2020 match in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday & beat Dinesh Karthik’s team by 49 runs. A brilliant knock of 80 runs from Rohit Sharma & a quick 47 runs by Suryakumar Yadav helped Mumbai Indians to put a marvelous target of 195 runs against KKR. The all-rounder Hardik Pandya proved to be a nightmare for KKR by smashing 15 runs in his third over on Pat Cummins bowling. However in yesterday’s match Hardik entertained his fans not only through his batting but also by getting out in a unique way. In the 19th over when Andre Russell bowled a wide bowl which Hardik decided to leave. However he was standing so deep in his crease his bat itself hit the stumps getting him out in an unexpected way.

This out of the box wicket of Pandya flourished social media with an array of memes about Pandya’s moment of misfortune. From memes involving popular Indian TV shows to jokes about “aatmanirbharta” (self-dependence), Twitter had it all.

Let’s read some of the chosen tweets which grabbed our attention. Harshit Joshi tweeted, Hardik Pandya is so Aatmanirbhar he takes his own wicket. #KKRvMI #IPL2020

Another user tweeted, Hardik Pandya getting out from hit wicket, ‘Galti se Mistake’. Whereas Naman tweeted, “Well explained the meaning of Aatmanirbhar* #MIvsKKR”.

KKR had a good start after Captain Dinesh karthik won toss & opted to field. Shivam Mavi grabbed early wicket of Quinton de Kock too. But then Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock put on a 90-run stand. Rohit & hardik carried their partnership after Yadav’s departure & Mumbai Indians were able to scalp 196 runs in 20 overs.

However some good bowling & some poor shots by KKR batsmen restricted then to 146/9 while Hardik did not bowl in the match but took some good catches to put a full stop on KKR’s chase of target.
