West Indies spinner, Sunil Narine is very much fond of India & said that India is like a second home to him, he further expressed his willingness to represent any team which is owned by the Kolkata Knight Riders Franchise.
The Spinner also said that the management & the owners of KKR are very down to earth & always tries to make the players comfortable & feel like they are at home. “Any tournament where I got the chance to play with KKR I would like to be the part of that team. Money doesn’t matter to me, I would just like to be a part of that team. The way you are being welcomed in India with arms wide open like they already know you as a human being, they try to make you comfortable,” Narine said in a video posted on the official handle of KKR.
“When I come to India it’s like I have come to my second home, from the day I reach, I feel comfortable. I feel everything is normal here, it’s the closest thing is the feeling of being at home playing in the CPL is the IPL, it’s like family. I am missing the excitement of the IPL,” he further added.
The owners of the KKR team also have shares in the CPL team Trinbgo Knight Riders & Sunil Narine is also a part of that team.
Highlighting Narine’s achievement, he has played 110 matches so far for the KKR franchise and has taken 122 wickets at an average of 23.31. He is termed as the most economical spinners in the history of the tournament as he has an economy rate of just 6.67.
He would have been playing for the KKR franchise in the IPL if the tournament had commenced from March 29. However, the tournament has been suspended indefinitely due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
