India starts Outdoor Training in Chennai as their Quarantine Period Ends!

Team India had their first outdoor training session on Monday after reaching Chennai for the first two tests against England.

The Indian team completed their quarantine period & cleared all their COVID-19 tests to start their training on Monday at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Team India’s Official Instagram handle shared the pictures of cricketers from training session on their Instagram story. In one of the pictures, Ishant Sharma who has returned after recovering from an injury is seen hugging his teammate. Bowling Coach Arun Bharat can be seen standing along with some other staff members in the other picture shared on Instagram.

Captain Virat Kohli was seen standing along with other staff members in the next picture. Virat Kohli who missed three tests in Australia will make a comeback with the upcoming test series against England. The players had arrived in Chennai on Wednesday & completed their Quarantine on Monday. Indian team will have their first net session on Tuesday.

The England squad have also completed their quarantine & will start their training on Tuesday. The series opener match will be played at the Chepauk starting on February 9. The second match of the series will be played at the same venue. Both the teams will then travel to Ahmedabad for the next two matches at the Motera stadium. The Motera stadium will also host the five match T20I series between the two teams that will follow the tests. England’s tour of India will conclude with a three-match ODI series in Pune.
