India tour of England: The Indian men’s & Women’s Cricket team on Thursday reached London ahead of the WTC final & England Test Series. India & New Zealand will lock horns in the final of the WTC at the Ageas Bowl, Southampton starting from June 18 while the Women’s Cricket team will start their England tour with a one-off test starting from June 16.

Recently KL Rahul shared a picture of himself in which he can be seen standing in the London Airport. “Touchdown”, KL Rahul captioned his picture on Twitter. Earlier on Thursday, the BCCI had also tweeted the pictures of the Indian Contingent who were ready to depart for the UK.

After the WTC final, the Indian Men’s team will gear up for the five-match test series against England starting from August 4 to September 14. While the Indian women’s team will come into a face-off with England’s women’s team in three-match ODIs starting from June 27 with the matches slated to be played in Bristol, Taunton & Worcester. Both the teams will then lock horns in three-match T20Is starting from July 9 which will be played at Northampton, Hove & Chelmsford.

As the Indian team has landed in London they will now proceed to the onsite hotel at the Hampshire Bowl where they will be tested again before commencing a period of managed isolation. As per the bio-safety protocols established for WTC final in accordance with UK Government & Public Health England requirements, regular tests will be conducted during the isolation period.

The Player’s activity will be allowed in a gradually increasing manner after every round of negative testing, moving from exercise in isolation to small group & then large squad activity including intra-squad practice match while remaining within the bio-bubble environment.

Currently, New Zealand’s team is playing two-match test series against England. After the completion of the bilateral test series, the Black Caps will move from the ECB bio-bubble into the WTC final bubble on June 15. And then they will be subjected to regular testing prior to & post-arrival in Southampton.
