Earlier on Day 3, Washington Sundar & Shardul Thakur with their heroics with bat helped India to score 336 runs in the first innings a shortage of just 33 runs to reach Australia’s total of 369 runs. India started their innings on a low note with Cheteshwar Pujara & Ajinkya Rahane managing to score just 25 & 37 runs respectively. Mayank Agarwal & Rishabh Pant tried to add some runs & bring some momentum to India’s innings but were soon dismissed by Australia’s bowling department. But the stunning partnership of Sundar & Shardul Thakur has helped India to turn the innings in their favor. On his Test debut, Sundar scored 62 runs off 144 balls which consisted of 7 fours & a six. Thakur also registered his maiden Test Half-century by scoring just 67 runs from 115 balls. Josh Hazlewood was in top form for Australia by scalping five wickets against India. The hosts will be aiming to gain some momentum on Day 4 and extend their lead.
