At Last Cheteshwar Pujara completes his half-century in just 196 balls. He hits Marnus delivery for a boundary & marked his half-century. It was really a struggling half-century for Pujara as he was hit several times on his body during the innings.
Earlier on Day 4, Rain has resulted in an early stoppage of game for the second time, leaving the 4th & final test match between Australia & India to be decided by what happens on Day 5 which is the final day of the test match at Gabba in Brisbane. In the beginning of Day 4, Australia scored 294 runs in their second innings & set a target of 328 runs for India to achieve to win the Border Gavaskar Trophy. Smith scored a spectacular half century for Australian he smashed 55 off 74 balls, before losing his wicket to Mohammed Siraj. For the visitors Siraj was the pick of the bowlers who registered his maiden five wicket haul whereas Shardul Thakur also scalped four wickets to further strengthen India’s bowling attack. Australia’s bowling side will be aiming to put a strong pressure on the Indian batsmen by displaying top bowling performance on Day 5. For India a draw is enough to retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, with the series already tied at 1-1 but first they will be aiming to secure back to back series win in the Australia tour.
