India beats England with 8 runs to register a series levelling win against England in the 4th T20I at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
India bowled exceptionally at the death overs to win the 4th T20I in Ahmedabad by eight runs to level the five match T20I series at 2-2 score. With 23 runs to defend in the last over, Jofra Archer tried to register a spectacular win by hitting a four & a six. Shardul Thakur then bowled two wide bowls to make it 10 runs required off 3 balls. But Shardul didn’t stopped here, he put brakes on England’s intentions by dismissing Chris Jordan in the penultimate ball of the match to seal victory for the hosts.
The game was almost in favor of visitors with Jason Roy scoring 40 off 27 balls & Ben Stokes scoring 46 runs off 23 balls & Jofra Archer picked up four wickets but thanks to India’s restricted bowling in the death overs which changed the momentum of the game in the favor of hosts. Shardul Thakur scalped crucial wickets of Eoin Morgan & Ben Stokes in a single over to hold the nerves of the visitor’s. Suryakumar’s stunning half century on debut & India’s restricted bowling did wonders for the hosts & helped them to seal the series levelling victory.
Now England & India will face each other in the 5th & the decider T20I which is scheduled to be played on 20 March at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
