Ajay Jadeja feels that the current Indian batting lineup is not batting at its ideal position & the cricketers like Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer & Hardik Pandya had to bat at least one position lower than their usual batting spot in the 3rd T20I which India lost by eight wickets.
“I feel India’s current batting lineup is not the best in team’s interest. I feel some of the team’s players are not playing at their best positions. Hardik Pandya when comes out to bat very few overs of England bowlers are left. Archer, Wood and an over or two of someone else”, Ajay Jadeja said in a video.
Hardik Pandya who had made significant contributions while batting at No.6 is currently batting at No.7 as India decided to include an extra batsmen in the 2nd & 3rd T20I against England. Ajay feels that cricketers like Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer & Hardik Pandya should bat at least one position lower than their usual batting spot in the 3rd T20I which India lost by eight wickets.
According to Ajay Jadeja, No team have five main bowlers. You always have one bowler who is weaker than the other bowlers. India needs to understand which batsman will give them maximum runs when they come against a particular bowler. Jadeja said that India have to decide who are their destructive batsmen & against which bowlers they can play their best cricket in T20Is.
“You know the pace at which Hardik bats when he is in good form, so you should think whether you want to send Hardik when bowlers like Archer of Wood are bowling or when bowlers like Jordan or Sam Curran is bowling”, concluded Ajay Jadeja.
