Earlier the BCCI’s Vice-president Rajeev Shukla had confirmed the news to ANI, “IPL has been suspended, we will see whether we can reschedule it, as it is not canceled. It is just suspended for now”, Rajeev said.

According to the IPL Governing Council, the decision of postponing the IPL 2021 was taken after Amit Mishra & Wriddhiman Saha have tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday. Earlier Varun Chakravarthy & Sandeep Warrier had also tested positive for COVID-19. So yesterday’s KKR vs RCB clash was postponed to another date. Even two members of the CSK Contingent were tested positive for COVID-19. And so the match between CSK & RR was also set to be postponed.
