Ishan Kishan was the only player in the Mumbai Indians squad which kept the team alive in the chase between RCB & Mumbai Indians held on Monday in Dubai. He smashed 99 runs off 58 balls to help Mumbai Indians tie with RCB’s 201 target.
However Mumbai Indians suffered defeat when the match went into Super Over as Mumbai Indians could score only seven runs that were easily chased down by Virat Kohli & AB De Villiers. By the end of the match Ishan Kishan was too exhausted to come out & bat in the Super Over as Mumbai Indians sent Hardik Pandya to accompany the legendary batsman Kieron Pollard. However Kishan is hitting great shots in the nets ahead of Mumbai’s next clash against KXIP which will commence today in Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.
He practiced long-range hitting in the nets playing shots ranging from the most orthodox like a cover drive to the most outlandish like a switch hit. It was Kishan’s first game for Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2020 & he made the most of it.
Kieron Pollard remains unbeaten on 60 off 24 balls & put 79 runs off the 80 runs needed for win in the last four overs against RCB along with Kishan stitching a fruitful partnership. Kishan will be crucial to Mumbai’s chances of getting back to winning ways. Mumbai Indians started their season with a victory over CSK but since then have faced back to back defeats, lowering them on the Points Table.
