Ishan Kishan scores 173 runs off 94 Balls against Madhya Pradesh in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021!

Jharkhand Captain Ishan Kishan displayed an outstanding batting performance smashing 173 runs off 94 balls in an innings which comprises of 11 sixes against Madhya Pradesh in the Elite Group B Match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy on Saturday.

Ishan Kishan hit five sixes & 12 fours to score 102 runs in just 74 balls to bring up 173 runs. In the last 20 balls Ishan Kishan faced the Jharkhand captain scored 71 runs as the team crossed 200 runs mark in 26th over. Jharkhand lost two wickets within 20 overs but there was no stopping for Ishan Kishan who was scoring big on Madhya Pradesh’s bowling attack. The Parth Sahani led team finally took a sigh of relief when Gaurav Yadav dismissed Ishan in the 28th over but till then Jharkhand has scored 240 runs on score board.

Vijay Hazare Trophy which is domestic one day tournament in India started off on Saturday with players looking forward to get back on the field after with players looking to get back on the field after shinning in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The tournament will also act as the perfect platform for the players who are looking forward to showcase their skills in the limited overs format ahead of the ODI series against England, keeping in mind the T20 World Cup which will take place later this year.

In the upcoming tournament, Shreyas Iyer did not have a good run form in the ODI series against Australia while Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been out of the team due to an injury so both the cricketers will look forward to impress the selectors ahead of the white ball series against England. Prithvi Shaw has been named as the Vice-Captain of Mumbai while Yashasvi Jaiswal, Suryakumar Yadav and Tushar Despande have also been named in the squad.

Pradeep Sangwan might lead Delhi Capitals but Shikhar Dhawan will look forward to make the most of the tournament who has not played a single game since December first week. The teams have been divided into Elite A,B,C,D & E & the Plate Group,s matches will be played across different locations in Tamil Nadu while the Elite Group’s games will be held in Surat, Indore, Bangalore, Jaipur and Kolkata respectively.

The quarter-final will be played on March 8 and 9 respectively, while the semi-final will take place on March 11. The final match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy is scheduled for March 14.
