Ishan Kishan shares his Pivotal Experience of Batting with Virat Kohli on ‘Chahal TV’!


Ishan Kishan made his International debut on Sunday & left an impression by scoring a fiery half century in the second T20I against England at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Ishan Kishan who has made a name for himself by displaying some fine performances for Mumbai Indians in the IPL, displayed an outstanding batting performance in his debut match by hitting a 32 ball 56 runs. He had the perfect mentor at the other end in face of Virat Kohli who remained unbeaten on 73 runs as India easily chased England’s target of 164/6. Speaking about the Indian Captain Ishan Kishan said that he never experienced that sort of positive energy that Kohli executes during batting.

“Initially, it was difficult to match his levels. The energy he shows after a boundary or a double, I have never experienced before. But I understood at this level what sort of body language one needs to have. These sort of things I learnt from him,” Ishan Kishan said in a chat with Yuzvendra Chahal.

Ishan Kishan opened the innings with KL Rahul but he lost his batting partner right in the very first over. But that didn’t affect the youngster much as he smashed visitor’s bowlers to give India an outstanding start in the target chase.

“Seniors like Virat bhai, Hardik bhai advised me to enjoy my game,” he said.

“For any youngster, it is a proud moment to represent your country. I was very happy to get this opportunity and the belief shown in me”, Ishan added.

Ishan Kishan & Virat Kohli together put a 94 runs stand in just 56 balls for the second wicket to put India on top of England in the 2nd T20I. The youngster was dismissed by Adil Rashid but Kohli continued his onslaught with bat & smashed England bowlers to every part of the ground. Virat sealed victory for India by hitting a winning six & chasing the total set by England with 13 balls to spare. By clinching victory in the 2nd T20I India levelled the five match T20I series at 1-1 score.
