Ishant Sharma has played just one game for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2020 & after that was troubled by “an acute episodes of left rib cage pain” while training for further matches on October 7th, the media release said. Ishant Sharma is the second Delhi Capitals player who has pulled out of this season of the IPL after Amit Mishra, Delhi Capitals leg spinner who was ruled out of the IPL 2020 earlier this month due to a finger Injury. Delhi Capitals are now enjoying second position on the Points Table of the IPL 2020 by bagging 10 points earned after playing seven matches.
Most of the Delhi Capitals players have suffered injuries this season. First Ishaan Sharma didn’t played in the DC’s season opener match on September 20 & in the very first match of the franchise its one of the best spinner bowler Ravichandran Ashwin suffered a shoulder injury that kept him out of two matches.
Also the wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant didn’t play the Mumbai Indians game on Sunday after suffering a hamstring injury. Alex Carey was replaced by pant behind the stumps. Captain Shreyas Iyer said that Pant has been advised by the doctor to rest for a week meaning the lefthander may miss some more games for the rest of the week meaning the left hander may miss some of team’s remaining seven matches.
Ishant Sharma had an injury prone 2020 after missing the second Test match on the Tour of New Zealand in February this year after suffering an ankle injury. Ishant’s next assignment will be India’s next tour of Australia where the team will play four Tests from December to January.
