IPL 2021 will start from April 9 with Mumbai Indians facing RCB in Chennai. KKR will start their campaign in Chennai against SRH on April 11. Both Russell & Narine won the IPL with KKR in 2014 as its teammates while Narine also won the IPL with KKR in the year 2012. Both the players have been very crucial to the team’s success over the past several years. However, Russell was not in a good form in the last season as he could score just 117 runs & six wickets from 10 matches without scoring a single half-century.
Sunil Narine was also not in form but not as much as Russell as the batsman scored 121 runs with one half-century scored in 10 games by scalping five wickets. With average performances in last year’s season, Russell & Narine will try to make a comeback in the upcoming IPL which will be held in India.
However none of the teams will play on their home grounds in IPL 2021 as only six venues have been chosen for the IPL i.e. Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Kolkata. The playoffs & the finals of the IPL will be played in Ahmedabad. The final is scheduled for May 30th 2021.
