KXIP vs. RR: KXIP looks Unstoppable whereas RR need to grab those ‘2 Points!’

KXIP wins five consecutive matches & are all set for qualifications while Rajasthan Royals are in desperate need of points & must win the contest which will be held tomorrow.

Lacking behind in the bottom of the Points Table KXIP have worked hard & got back to form & now are all set to make it to the Qualifier matches. On the other side, RR have been a mixture of the excellent & the very average performance which still keeps them in hunt. With 10 points scored off 12 matches, RR anyhow need those 2 points so they have no other option then to win today’s match.

Though RR registered a comprehensive match against Mumbai Indians in their last game by hailing victory due to an incredible knock from Ben Stokes & Sanju Samson the fact still remains that such innings don’t come every day. The bowling remains a problem for them. You can’t concede 195 runs in 20 overs and then expect the batting to run these down in every match. It will often result in more losses than wins.

Archer is the only effective bowler for RR while the rest of the bowlers are being carted everywhere. Spinners like Shreyas Gopal & Rahul Tewatia are barely holding the ground. Rajasthan Royals weak bowling is their minus point. Still, RR have a win & a big one behind them so that could be a plus point for them.

KXIP don’t need to look for plusses. The last five matches which they have touched has turned gold. Mohammed Shami is firing again with Chris Jordan adding spectacular pace & the spinner Murugan Ashwin and Ravi Bishnoi have done brilliantly in tandem. The big difference for KXIP is that their young bowler expecially, Arshdeep Singh have really performed good adding the left arm seam which has worked well for KXIP. As for the batting, Gayle has really added the much needed zest to KXIP’s squad & along with captain KL Rahul, Mandeep Singh along with few other big totals are no longer a crisis for the team.

KXIP looks unstoppable but RR have to beat them in today’s clash. It will be a thrilling competition between both the teams.
