KXIP’s star player ‘The Boss’ Chris Gayle recently said in a statement that he is not going to retire anytime soon after Mandeep Singh his KXIP’s teammate said to drop the idea of retirement forever.
KXIP defeated KKR by gigantic eight wickets in yesterday’s IPL match. After the match iplt20.com posted a video of Gayle taking interview of Mandeep Singh. During their conversation, Singh told Gayle that he should never ever thing of retirement. In reply, Gayle said “cancel retirement” and added that “no retirement coming anytime soon”. By registering yesterday’s win over KKR, KXIP has straight went up to the fourth spot on the IPL 2020 Points Table. Singh & Gayle together stitched 66 runs & 51 runs respectively to help KXIP chase down a below average target of 150 runs set by none other than KKR.
Singh’s father has passed away on Friday. Singh has also said that his father used to tell him that he should always remain not out in each & every game.
“My father always used to tell me that you should remain not out in every game and that is what I wanted to do today. Before the game, I spoke to Rahul, telling him that let me play my game and even if I take a few balls initially, I can win games for the team. I think my father would be really happy today that I finished the game and remained not out,” Singh said.
“He (Gayle) should never retire. He is always in great touch. I have never seen him struggle. He is probably the greatest T20 player ever,” Singh added.
So it’s confirm that we will get to witness Gayle’s momentum for some more years as retirement is not on his mind.
