Lizelle Lee grabs Top Spot on ICC ODI Rankings while Punam Raut moves up 8 Spots!

South Africa Women’s Opener Lizelle Lee climbs up seven spots to become the top ranked batswoman in the latest ICC Women’s ODI Player’s Rankings which released on Tuesday.

Riding on the back of a fabulous form in the ongoing series against India, Lee displaced Tammy Beaumont from the top spot. India’s Opener Punam Raut has also moved eight spots up to take the 18th Position in the Women’s ODI Rankings. Raut who has held a career high rank of 13th, is fourth on the list among Indian batters after Mandhana (7th), Mitali (9th) & harmanpreet Kaur (15th). Punam Raut has been in a fine form & had scored 62 runs not out, 77 & 104 not out in her last three ODIs.

Harmanpreet Kaur is two places up among the batters & has gained three places to reach 49th position in the ICC bowling list. Left arm spinner Rajeshwari Gayakwad is another bowler who made notable achievement by gaining four spots to reach 18th among the bowlers with five wickets picked in three matches & moving ahead by five places to 71st among the batters. Sushma Verma climbed up to 81st among batters & Mansi Joshi climbed up to five places to 64th among bowlers have also gained in the latest weekly update.

Lizelle Lee the South Africa Women’s batter had scores of four, 132 not out, and 69 in the three matches during the last week after having already moved from 11th position to eighth position in the previous week with an unbeaten 83 runs in the series opener match. This is the second time that Lizelle Lee has topped the ODI batting Charts, earlier he has taken the number one position in June 2018 when she scored 117 against England at Hove. Lee remains the only South African to top the Women’s ODI batting Rankings.

Laura Goodall whose 59 not out helped her to seal a glorious victory in Lucknow, has gained 27 spots to reach 48th position while off-spinner Nondumiso Shangase has moved up to 18 places to 68th among the bowlers. Ayabonga Khaka has advanced one place to ninth position among the bowlers & gained two spots to reach 100th among the batters.
