Delhi Capitals star opener batsman Shikhar Dhawan accepts that the Challenge for DC would be to adapt themselves mentally on the Chepauk wicket when they will face Mumbai Indians in today’s clash. Till now DC has played all their matches at the Wankhede Stadium & the team would now be playing its next two matches at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. So it will be a difficult task for DC to adapt to the Chepauk conditions quickly.
Delhi Capitals will meet Mumbai Indians in a face-off today at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. “Mumbai Indians has played 2-3 games over Chepauk before so they know the conditions. For us, the challenge will be to switch on mentally according to Chennai’s wicket & prepare our plan. We just need to implement our plan in Chepauk’s condition. We have to play there with a positive mindset, aggression & look forward to winning the match”, Shikhar Dhawan said in a video shared on the Official Twitter handle of Delhi Capitals.

On the other hand, DC all-rounder Marcus Stoinis praised the Mumbai Indians team by calling it highly adaptable. He also accepts that the match against Mumbai Indians would be challenging on a sluggish Chennai wicket. “They are a very good team, we have played against them a lot of times. And yes it is going to be a challenging match on that surface. They have got a really adaptable team & so do we. So it will be a good competition”, said Stoinis.
Mumbai Indians have played three matches in the ongoing IPL season out of which they have won two matches. Delhi & Mumbai both are currently at third & fourth sport on the IPL 2021 Points Table. Both DC & MI will come into today’s clash on a winning note. Delhi Capitals had last defeated Punjab Kings while Mumbai Indians have outclassed SRH in their previous clash in the IPL 2021.
