Mitchell Starc rings in his 31st birthday on Saturday & social media got flooded with birthday greetings for the Australian pacer.
The ICC shared a video of some of his best Yorkers that had bamboozled the batsmen. In an earlier tweet, the ICC also paid tribute to Mitchell Starc for his astounding performances in the previous two ODI World Cups. The pacer was the top wicket-taker in the Men’s ODI Cricket World Cup in 2015 & 2019 & ICC also termed him as “a man made for the big stage”.

The Australian pacer has represented his country in 61 Tests, scalping 255 wickets at a strike rate of 27.57. Mitchell Starc has played 96 ODIs with 184 wickets registered on his name at a strike-rate of 23.16. In T20I format Starc has scalped has fetched 47 wickets in 35 matches at a strike rate of 19.38 and an economy rate of 6.95.
While Mitchell Starc will be termed as one of the ODI achievers for his stupendous performances on big platform. He also received a bit of criticism for his performances in the recently concluded Test series in Australia vs. India. In the first test match at Adelaide, Starc delivered his one of the best performance y scalping four wickets in the first innings. After scalping 3 wickets in the first innings of the Melbourne Test, the pacer took just four more wickets in the next five innings, looking far away from his best.
His poor form continued further by scalping just a wicket in Sydney test while in the final test at the Gabba he had scalped just two wickets in the first innings going wicket-less in the second innings.
