Amid the coronavirus Pandemic when everyone is doing their bit to help the Government in the fight against COVID-19, Indian Women’s team players Mithali Raj & Poonam Yadav made contributions to Coronavirus relief funds.

Indian Women’s ODI team captain Mithali Raj, has donated 5 lakhs each to the Telangana Chief Minister’s Fund & PM Cares Fund. Star cricketers Poonam Yadav & Mithali Raj has made a whopping 10 lakh & 2 lakh donation in COVID-19 relief funds. Not only cricketers but also WFI President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has pledged to donate Rs 11 lakh on behalf of the wrestling fraternity for the fight against COVID-19 Pandemic. Not only cricketers but also the staff of Sports Authority of India has donated their three days salary to the PM Cares Fund which amounts to Rs 76 lakhs.

While Mithali Raj decided to donate 5 lakhs each to PM Care Fund and the same amount to Telangana Chief Minister’s Fund. Poonam Yadav who has played a crucial role in taking team India in the Semi-Finals Of Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 in which India became runner up pledged to donate 2 lakhs for the Coronavirus Relief Funds.

“I have extended my support to PM Cares Fund and the Uttar Pradesh CM relief fund in the fight against the COVID-19 Pandemic. This is the only bit we can do in this tough time. I hope that everyone contributes & together we beat the Coronavirus Pandemic soon. Stay at Home, Stay Safe everyone”, tweeted Yadav.

India Women’s team all-rounder cricketer Dipti Sharma has also contributed to the fight against Coronavirus by pledging 1.5 Lakh to Relief Funds. On behalf of the UP Wrestling Association, Brij Bhushan the President of the wrestling body in Varanasi announced that they will contribute Rs 5 lakhs to the Chief Minister Relief Funds. The President has announced a monetary help of Rs 50,000 to the state CM’s relief fund. The President, Brij Bhushan has also praised wrestler Bajrang Punia for his donation and appealed everyone to come forward and donate in these tough times of Pandemic.
