Former England batsman, Kevin Pietersen termed Mohammad Asif as the best bowler he had ever faced in his career. Mohammad Asif was among several Pakistani cricketers who were banned in 2011 for finding guilty in spot-fixing.
Kevin Pietersen shared a clip on his Twitter Handle where Mohammad Asif bowls a peach to get rid of Pietersen for a duck. Pietersen captioned the video clip as, “I think there is plenty of batsman around the globe that were very happy when Mohammad Asif got banned! He was the best bowler I had ever faced! I had no idea against him!”
In 2011, Mohammad Asif got banned from International Cricket after he stands guilty for being involved in a spot fixing scandal. Asif got banned from International cricket for 7 years which ended his International career for Pakistan. Prior to this incident, Asif had played 23 test matches for his country and scalped 106 with an economy rate of 3.0.
Whereas in One Day International Matches Mohammad Asif was featured in 38 one day matches and 11 T20I International games. Asif scalped 46 batsmen in ODIs and claimed 13 wickets in T20Is. He was also featured in the inaugural edition of the IPL series and went on to play eight games for the Deccan Chargers back in 2008.

With lockdown getting extended in major states of India, there are chances of the IPL 2020 to get postponed till next year. However, the BCCI is yet to make an official statement about the same.
