Mohammed Siraj is the First Bowler to bowl two Maiden Overs in an IPL Match!


Mohammed Siraj becomes the first bowler to bowl two maiden overs in an IPL match. He scalped three wickets with no runs scored in his first two overs for RCB against KKR on Wednesday in Abu Dhabi. 

Siraj slaughtered KKR in the first four overs of their innings as he dismissed Opener Batsman Rahul Tripathi, Nitish Rana & Tom Banton in his first two overs without conceding a run off the bat. He gave away a run only in his third over & finishes his first spell of three overs with 3-2-2-3. First Tripathi, next ball Rana, Siraj was in full form as he picked up two wickets in just two balls to bowled out KKR very early.

KKR won the toss & elected to bat & they were slaughtered by Siraj’s consisted hitting bowling which resulted in their top batting order collapse in moments. Rahul Tripathi who scored just 1 runs was caught behind by AB De Villiers on the third ball of the second over of Siraj & Rana was bowled out on 0 by a perfect in swinger on the very next ball.

Tom Banton foiled Siraj’s hopes of a hat-trick but the pro batsmen could not stay long as Siraj got him caught behind for 10 runs. Siraj’s outstanding bowling got KKR scores at 3 for 3 in the fourth over when Shubman Gill holed out to Chris Morris off Navdeep Saini for just one run & Banton’s dismissal meant they slid to 14 for 4 in the fourth over.

Siraj has 34 IPL wickets scalped form 30 matches at 27.94 and an economy rate of 9.13 with the best figures of 4 for 32. With yesterday’s glorious victory RCB grabs third spot on the IPL 2020 Points table from nine matches while KKR are on fourth spot with 10 points.
