The former Indian Captain turned 39 on Tuesday & his current & former teammates flooded social media with heartwarming birthday wishes for the epic cricketer.
MS Dhoni celebrates his 39th birthday on Tuesday & his former & current teammates took to Twitter to post their birthday wishes for the former Indian Captain. Players such as Virender Sehwag, Kedar Jadhav, Hardik Pandya, Suresh Raina, Kuldeep Yadav & VVS Laxman were first to share their birthday greetings for CSK’s Captain while Kedar Jadhav even wrote a heartfelt letter for his “best friend, teammate & Captain”. Fans also flooded social media with lovely messages & wished the World Cup-winning captain on turning 39 today.
“Once in a generation, a player comes and a nation connects with him, think of him as a member of their family, kuch bahut Apna sa lagta hai. Happy Birthday to a man who is the world ( Dhoni-ya ) for his many admirers,” tweeted Virender Sehwag.
While Kedar Jadhav’s open letter for Dhoni was a massive hit by garnering over 1,000 retweets & over 4,000 likes in seconds.
“A small try to make your birthday a little more special. My best friend, teammate, and captain, Happy Birthday Mahi Bhai,” wrote the India cricketer. Whereas Hardik Pandya also shared his gratitude & extended good wishes for Dhoni. He called Dhoni as “Bittu” & wished him he also thanked him for helping Hardik during tough times.
“Happy birthday to my Bittu from your Chittu. My friend who has taught me to be a better human being and stood by me in bad times @msdhoni,” Pandya tweeted.
Dhoni’s CSK teammate Suresh Raina also posted a video birthday wish for Dhoni he wrote, “one of my favorite human, brother & a leader I could ever ask for”.
Left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav thanked Dhoni for being an amazing human being whereas former Indian Cricketer VVS Laxman said Dhoni’s composure and patience continue to be an inspiration. “Happy birthday Mahi Bhai. I hope you have a wonderful and fantastic day. Thank you for being such an amazing human being. God bless you,” Kuldeep tweeted.
VVS Laxman tweeted, “Many more happy returns of the day to a man whose composure and patience continues to be an inspiration. #HappyBirthdayDhoni”.
MS Dhoni was seen in action in July 2019 when India lost to New Zealand in the Semi-Finals of the World Cup. Dhoni was expected to make a comeback to cricket in this year’s IPL which has been postponed indefinitely due to coronavirus pandemic.
