There is a huge relief for the Mumbai Indians franchise as their players & staff tests negative for COVID-19. The players & support staff of MI did the COVID-19 test after Kiran More tested positive for COVID-19.
Mumbai Indians have been busy in Net Sessions in Chennai ahead of their first IPL match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on 9th April. According to media reports, MI’s training sessions have been cancelled for Tuesday. All the players & support staff underwent COVID-19 tests on Tuesday as More was with them in the same hotel in Chennai. Luckily the entire support staff & MI players have tested negative for coronavirus.
Earlier Mumbai Indians announced that their Scout & Wicket-keeping Consultant Kiran More tested Positive for COVID-19. “Mumbai Indians’ scout and wicket keeping consultant Mr Kiran More has tested positive for Covid-19,” Mumbai Indians stated its Official Statement.
Two more Members of Wankhede Support staff & One Plumber has tested Positive for COVID-19. “Two more ground staff members & one plumber tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday. Earlier 10 ground staff members had tested positive for COVID-19 at the Wankhede Stadium”, the MCA source said to media.
The first match at the Wankhede Stadium will be played on April 10th between Delhi Capitals & Chennai Super Kings. Mumbai Indians will start their campaign against Royal Challengers Bangalore on 9th April in Chennai.
