De Kock & Krunal Pandya played crucial knocks of 70 & 39 to guide Mumbai Indians towards the ladder of victory. Krunal’s 39 runs knock also marked his comeback after witnessing a dull period with the bat in the first five matches of Mumbai Indians.

Chasing a decent target of 172 runs, Mumbai Indians got off to a perfect start as its Captain Rohit Sharma & Quinton de Kock together put 49 runs opening stand. However, Chris Morris ended Rohit’s batting stint by departing him on 14 runs. Then came Suryakumar Yadav who along with De Kock stitched a 34 runs stand. But then came Krunal Pandya who steadied MI’s submerging ship by partnering with De Kock to help their side remain alive in the chase of 172 runs. De Kock scored his first half-century of the season & the duo together put 63 runs on board for Mumbai Indians.
