Navdeep Saini recently shared a memorable picture with Shubman Gill & Rishabh Pant which was taken during the third test match between Australia & India at the SCG which is also called the Pink test match.
Indian team managed to pull the match into a draw with the trio putting in spectacular performances for team India. The photo was captioned as the “three musketeers”, & the trio were seen wearing pink caps which was an initiative by Glenn McGrath to create awareness towards breast cancer in Australia. The initiative was part of the McGrath Foundation, where Mc Grath is co-founder and President.
The third test match was Navdeep Saini’s Test debut in which he registered the dismissals of Will Pucovski & Mitchell Starc during Australia’s first innings. And during Australia’s second innings he scalped the crucial wickets of Marnus Labuschagne and Matthew Wade. Shubman Gill had put in a brilliant batting performance scoring 50 runs & 31 runs during the match.
Rishabh Pant was one of the India’s star player in the third test smashing a spectacular knock of 97 runs off 118 balls during India’s second innings. Many Pundits & fans considered his knock to be the turning point in the match, helping India to claim a hard fought draw. Pant also scored 36 runs in the first innings. Pant suffered an injury during the first innings & batted in the second innings under medication.
With the series tied at 1-1, both the sides will face each other in the final test match which starts from January 15 at the Gabba, in Brisbane.
