The third & final T20I between New Zealand & the West Indies squad was pulled off due to rains giving New Zealand a 2-0 series win.
Only 2.2 overs were bowled at Mount Maunganui when a sudden downpour forced the players to go off the field with the West Indies scoring 25 for one wicket after losing the toss & being asked to bat first. The umpires finally called off the match after two hours after witnessing no change in the bad weather.
New Zealand won the first T20I by five wickets & the second by 72 runs against West Indies squad. Pacemen Lockie Ferguson was named man of the series after taking five for 21 in the opening fixture, plus one wicket apiece in the second and third matches. The first two matches between England & West Indies were played in Hamilton on Thursday.
