PSL 2021: 11 pakistani players prohibited to tarvel to UAE due to visa clearance

Quetta Gladiators captain Sarfaraz Ahmed & ten other players were not allowed to board commercial flights for Abu Dhabi via Doha for PSL 6.

According to reports from ESPNcricinfo, all the 11 players & officials were denied from boarding commercial flights going from Lahore & Karachi to Abu Dhabi via Doha because they didn’t have the required clearances to board the flights as per the restrictions in place on travelers to the UAE amid COVID-19 pandemic.

“Five players from this PSL contingent were given green signal to fly, while the other players had to return back to their hotels where they have been in quarantine since May 24”, read the report of ESPN.

More than 25 people from Lahore & Karachi were slated to travel to the UAE on a chartered plane. But later the PCB decided to put them on commercial flights which nullified the quarantine protocols in place. PCB didn’t specify the reason for the change in their travel plans.
