Mumbai Indians have grabbed top spot on the Points Table, following victory by a margin of eight wickets against KKR in 32nd match of the IPL 2020 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
KKR set a target of 148/5, after Captain Eoin Morgan won the toss & opted to bat first. All-rounder Pat Cummins scored his first half century in the IPL 2020 by hitting 53 runs off 36 deliveries in an innings comprising of five boundaries & two sixes. Cummins received immense support from Morgan who scored 39 runs off 29 deliveries. Spinner Rahul Chahar emerged as the star bowler for KKR scalping two wickets for his team. The chase started brilliantly with openers Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock, hitting the ball to all the corners of the stadium. De Kock continued to smash stunning shots on field despite of Rohit Sharma’s dismissal & helped Mumbai Indians to hail victory by scoring an unbeaten 78 runs off 44 deliveries. The South African batsman received support from all-rounder Hardik who played a cameo in the end & finished Mumbai Indians innings by hailing glorious victory. Varun Chakravarthy and Shivam Mavi accounted for one wicket each.
