Rahmat Shah hit an unbeaten century to glide Afghanistan to a spectacular seven wickets win over Ireland in their second ODI in Abu Dhabi.
Rahmat scored two sixes & 10 fours in his 103 runs from 109 balls as the Afghan players reached their victory target of 260 runs with 28 balls in spare which helped Afghanistan took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
Rahmat was supported by Hashmatullah Shahidi whose 82 runs from 100 balls helped the duo put 184 runs stand for the third wicket. Afghanistan captain Asghar Afghan scored an unbeaten 21 runs which also added to Afghanistan’s scoreboard.
Ireland had won the toss & chose to bat, Paul Stirling hit 128 runs from 132 balls to help his team to reach 259/9 from their 50 overs. Naveen-Ul-Haq claimed Stirling’s wicket, ending with 4-42 off his 10 overs.
