South Africa batsman Rassie Van Der Dussen has been ruled out of the third ODI match due to an injury. “Rassie Van Der Dussen suffered a Grade 1 left Quadriceps Muscle Strain. The South African Medical team will evaluate his progress as the T20I series approaches. The team will then make a final call on his participation in due course”, Cricket South Africa said in an Official Statement on Wednesday.
South Africa will play without Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje & David Miller in the ongoing third ODI. Because they all have arrived in India to participate in the IPL 2021. The three-match ODI series is currently level at 1-1 with the series decider ODI currently being played in SA.
Earlier Pakistan’s Head Coach Misbah-Ul-Haq has said that it would be an achievement if Pakistan wins the ODI series. “The way we played the first two games & won the first ODI, the team is confident. Pakistan’s squad has now started to believe they can win or reach a winning position out of nowhere. The previous games were one of the big examples. I have always said that it is a young team & for them every win is important”, Misbah was quoted as saying.
“If we win the match in the home ground of South Africa, then it will be an achievement for us. Winning is important for the sake of team confidence”, Misbah-ul-Haq added.
