Indian cricket Team’s head coach Ravi Shastri said that he is feeling excited to get back on field as team India starts its training sessions ahead of the series against Australia.
India & Australia are scheduled to face each other in three ODIs, three T20Is, and four Tests. Shastri posted photos along with Hardik Pandya, Shikhar Dhawan, and Shardul Thakur and he captioned the post as: “Great to get back to business – with @hardikpandya7 @SDhawan25, @imShard, #TeamIndia #AUSvIND”. India & Australia will first face each other in ODIs & T20Is & then will play the crucial four match Test series.
However team India captain Kohli will play only one Test match against Australia & then will return back to India as he has been granted paternity leave by the BCCI. On Tuesday the Indian Team has started their preparations for Test series as Kohli posted a short video of batting with the red ball. The fielders were positioned in test match like fielding positions & the Kohli led team seemed to be using a Test match like stimulation to leave no stone unturned in preparing for the likes of Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazelwood, and Pat Cummins.
Indian squad will play all three formats of cricket against Australia & has arrived in Sydney for the same. Now every player of the Indian team has started undergoing net sessions to be fully prepared. During the 2018-2019 series, India managed to win their first test series on the Australian ground. Kohli led team has won the series with a score of 2-1 & now they would be looking to retain the Border Gavaskar Trophy.
The first Test match between India & Australia will commence from December 17 at the Adelaide Oval and this match will be a day-night contest. The four-match series will be a part of the World Test Championship (WTC). India and Australia are at the top two spots in the WTC standings.
