Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma achieved another major milestone as he completed 4000 runs for his franchise by playing a superlative knock at Dubai International Stadium on Tuesday.
Rohit registered his 4000th run for Mumbai Indians during the IPL 2020 finals against Delhi Capitals on Tuesday. During the IPL final, Rohit became the second player to make 200 appearances in the tournament. mIn this IPL journey he has played for two franchises Deccan Chargers & Mumbai Indians. Having made his debut in 2008 Rohit has smashed 38 half centuries & also registered a century.
Meanwhile yesterday’s clash was Rohit’s 155th game for MI. The captain had made his 150th appearance for the franchise during the team’s game against Delhi Capitals at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on October 11. MI in their sixth final of the IPL got off to a spectacular start as Trent continued his brilliant bowling with the new ball to send the DC batsman back to pavilion.
Delhi capitals won the toss & decided to bat first. He scored 3/22 in the fourth over with Boult scalping two wickets. While Boult finished with figures of 3/30 from his four overs, it was the partnership of 96 for 4 wickets between Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant which led the firt time finalists to end their innings with a respectable total of 156/7 in 20 overs.
