Coronavirus Pandemic has led the whole world to come to a standstill, with almost each and every sporting event got postponed or canceled. This Quarantine period has turned into a great opportunity for the sportsperson to engage with their fans and conduct various question and answer sessions on social media.
Leading cricketers such as Rohit Sharma, Kevin Pieterson, and Virat Kohli held various live chats on Instagram and fans loved their causal approach and interaction on social media. Adding to the trend, the Australian all-rounder and current Sunriser Hyderabad coach Tom Moody had taken to twitter and asked his twitter followers to put some questions in front of him. A Pakistani journalist asked the cricketer ‘Who according to you are the two best opening batsmen in the World in T20s”.
Tom Moody named two most promising batsmen as his favorite opening combination in the tT20 cricket i.e Indian vice-captain Rohit Sharma and Australia’s opener David Warner. He replied by tweeting, “it’s a tough choice but I would be happy to go with @davidwarner31 and @ImRo45”.
He also said that the young sensation of India Shubman Gill is the standout talent in India at present. Tom Moody wrote, “There are many young talents in India but Shubman Gill is the best and he stands out in the crowd!”
Meanwhile, Pieterson also asked a question to Rohit Sharma, “Who has been your favorite coach throughout the years in your whole career?” to which Rohit responded that it’s difficult to take any particular name by saying that, “Every coach has taught me something or the other in the entire career”.
“But Ricky Pointing to me was magic”, and he further went on in praising Pointing. “ The way Pointing has handled the captaincy of Mumbai Indians team for the first half of the tournament and then he handed over the captaincy to me in the middle of the tournament is a sign of leadership in itself, it takes great guts to do that”, he explained. “Only Ricky Pointing can do that, he is remarkable in every sense”, Rohit added.
