WWF India also wished the right-handed batsman on his 33rd birthday last week. “We are living in a very difficult situation & it is very important to celebrate little joys that we get each & every day. We wish a very happy birthday to our rhino ambassador @ImRo45. Rohit Sharma has been our ambassador since 2018 & has helped us raised the awareness on the plight of rhinos”, WWF tweeted. “Thank you it’s been a privilege”, Rohit Sharma tweeted in reply.
In 2018, Rohit had dedicated a match-winning T20I century against England to Sudan to the world’s last male northern white rhino who died in March last year. Let’s hope that the world get back to normalcy & we get the chance to witness the spectacular sporting activities again.
