Delhi Capitals maintained their winning stint by defeating Rajasthan Royals with a huge margin of 46 runs in yesterday’s clash at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
Delhi Capitals were sent to bat by Rajasthan Royals captain Steve Smith who won the toss & elected to bowl first. Delhi Capitals were successful in posting a total of 184 runs with fall of eight wickets. Shimron Hetmyer was the highest run scorer smashing 45 runs off 24 deliveries in an innings which comprises of a boundary & five sixes. All-rounder Marcus Stoinis supported his side with a knock of 39 runs off 30 deliveries, hitting four sixes. English pacer Jofra Archer was the pick of the bowlers who scalped three wickets. Despite of an impressive bowling strategy, none of the Rajasthan Royals batsmen were able to score a target of 185 runs with Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson and Steve Smith dismissed cheaply. Whereas Rabada was able to dismiss three players with Ashwin & Stoinis picking up two wickets each taking Delhi Capitals towards glorious victory.
