Shahid Afridi criticize CSA for Releasing players amid the ODI Series!

Pakistan won the three-match ODI series against South Africa with a 2-1 score. After Pakistan’s Victory, Shahid Afridi took to Twitter to criticize Cricket South Africa (CSA) for releasing integral players of the team for the IPL 2021 in the mid of three-match ODI series against Pakistan.

South Africa was playing the decider match without their main players which includes Quinton De Kock & Kagiso Rabada. Despite their absence, Pakistan played with full grit & determination. But still, they suffered a 28 runs loss in the third & final ODI match.

Criticizing CSA decision to send their players to India, Afridi said, “sad to see the T20Leagues influencing International Cricket”. Shahid Afridi took to Twitter & tweeted, “Surprising to see @OfficialCSA allowing players to travel for IPL in the middle of a series. It is sad to see T20 leagues influencing international cricket. Some rethinking needs to be done!!”

Shaheed Afridi also congratulated the Pakistan squad for their scintillating ODI series win against South Africa. Afridi was very impressed with Fakhar Zaman who scored consecutive centuries in the last two ODIs & played a crucial role in Pakistan’s series win. Afridi also praised captain Babar Azam who missed his ton by just six runs in the 3rd ODI. Babr Azam got out on the last ball of their innings off Andile Phehlukwayo delivery.

“Congratulations to Pakistan on a fine series win. Great to see Fakhar follow his brilliant innings in Jo’Burg with another 100. Babar was once again all class, an excellent bowling effort by all. A job well done,” Afridi wrote on Twitter, congratulating Pakistan on their win.

On the back of Azam’s century, Pakistan won the first ODI by three wickets. Though they lost the second ODI by 17 runs despite Fakhar Zaman’s brilliant knock of 193 runs. However Pakistan won the decider ODI match on Wednesday to clinch the series with 2-1 score.
