Sanju Samson’s Spectacular Catch for Rajasthan Royals heaps Praise from Sachin Tendulkar!


Samson has stunned the entire World with his impressive batting skills, but yesterday Sanju’s fine display of athleticism on field by taking a remarkable catch while leaping backwards to dismiss KKR’s Pat Cummins in Yesterday’s match of the IPL 2020.

Cummins hit a short ball from Tom Curran towards square leg & Samson running in from deep mid-wicket almost overran the ball before regaining his balance and leaping backwards to grab the ball behind his head. The IPL tweeted out a link of Samson’s Catch & Captioned it, “Spectacular Sanju grabs a stunner.”

Sachin Tendulkar reacted to Samson’s out of the box efforts that saw the fielder smash his head against the ground in the attempt of completing the tough catch. Samson fell over after grabbing the ball & also seemed to have hit his head hard on the ground.

“Brilliant catch by @IamSanjuSamson!” tweeted Tendulkar. “I know how much it hurts when you bang your head like this on the ground. I experienced it in the 1992 World Cup in our match against the WI when I took a catch.”

KKR set a target of 174/6 for Rajasthan Royals to achieve. In KKR’s stint Shubman Gill’s 47 runs & Eoin Morgan’s unbeaten 34 runs played a major role in setting a target of 175 runs for Rajasthan Royals to achieve.

Samson hit half centuries for RR in their last two matches including 85 runs off 42 balls against KXIP to help RR pull off the highest successful chase in the IPL. Rajasthan Royals with sheer hard & smart work successfully chased down 224 after Rahul Tewatia smashed six sixes in just eight balls & Jofra Archer smashed 13 runs off 3 with three consecutive sixes in the last few overs.
